The Admission to MBA programme
shall be done on the basis of merit as ascertained
from the performance of the candidates in the
Entrance Test 10 & GD & PI conducted by
Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune as per schedule
given in the calendar of events. The exact venue
& the time schedule of GD & PI to be held
at Pune will be displayed on the website of the
Vidyapeeth www.dypatiluniversity.org & also
on the website of the institute: www.gbspune.com.
No separate letters will be sent to the applicants
for attending GD & PI. The eligible candidates
shall attend Group Discussion & Personal Interview
at Pune or Delhi.

| |
The candidates who has appeared
for MAT (Management Aptitude Test) conducted by
all India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi
in September 09/ December 09/ February 2010/ May
2010 can apply in the application form appended
to this brochure and also available on the Vidyapeeth
website. The candidates will then appear for the
group discussion (GD) & Personal Interview
(PI) conducted by Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth at
Pune & and Delhi as per the schedule given
in the calendar of events.
The exact venue and the time
schedule of GD & PI to be held at Pune &
Delhi will be displayed on the website of the
Vidyapeeth: www.dypatiluniversity.org & also
on the website of the institute: www.gbspune.com.

Procedure & Definitions:
General Category: admissions to these category candidates
shall be made on the basis of the inter-se merit of the
candidates based on a total Entrance Test & GD-PI
score in the Weightage 200:40 respectively |

NRI/PIO/FN Category: |
|
| |
Candidates under this category shall
have bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications.
(Admissions of candidates will be made on the basis
inter-se-merit) in the qualifying examination of the
applicants as determined by an admission committee appointed
for the purpose by the competent authority. The candidate
will be required to pay a processing fee of US $ 100.
In case the seats which are marked
for NRIs/ PIOs/ FNs are not filled in by candidates
of any of these subcategories, the management shall
fill in the vacant seats from the candidates who have
appeared for MAT and GD & PI and have applied for
the seat separately in the prescribed form available
in the Vidyapeeth Office and on the website of the Vidyapeeth
& the Institute. The fees payable by such candidate
shall be Rs. 1,35,000/- as Annual Fees and Rs. 65,000/-
as other fees per annum.
In this context, the bonafied NRIs,
PIOs and Foreign Nationals are defined as follows:
An NRI is a person who is "not
a resident' or who is 'not ordinarily resident".
A person is treated as "not ordinarily resident"
(i) If he / she has been resident in India for less
than 182 days in the year preceding the date of application;
or (ii) If he / she has been in India for less than
365 days during the four years immediately preceding
the date of application.
A PIO is a person having foreign citizenship
(except Pakistan and Bangladesh) within NRI status,
but who holds a foreign passport at the time of application
or at the time of consideration of admission and during
the period of his / her study and whose one / both parents
or anyone / both grand parent(s) is / are (or was /
were), citizen(s), of India by virtue of the provisions
of the Constitution of India or Section 2(b) of the
Citizenship Act 1955 (Act. No. 57 of 1955).
An FN is a person having citizenship
of a foreign country (any country other than India)
and not having the status 'NRI' and / or 'PIO'.
Important:
Under the NRI, PIO and FN categories, only the student
who has studied and passed the qualifying examination
from school and / or college located in foreign country
(other than India) shall be considered. This will include
the student studying in school and / or college situated
in foreign country, even if the concerned school / college
is affiliated to any Board of Secondary Education or
a University in India. However, ward of NRI, PIO or
FN, who is studying for the qualifying examination in
school / college located in India, is excluded.

The Annual fee is to be paid by the
student at the time of counseling and on-the-spot admission
session by a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of "Director,
Global Business School and Research Centre", payable
at Pune.
Vidyapeeth Eligibility & Registration
Fee (One-time Fee)
Ten Percent (10%) of the Annual Fee, payable for the
first year only, shall be paid by the student separately
at the time of filling in the Eligibility Application,
as Vidyapeeth Eligibility & Registration Fee. This
fee shall be paid by a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour
of "Registrar, Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth"
payable at Pune. (Note: The Vidyapeeth Eligibility &
Registration Fee is non-refundable)
Vidyapeeth Examination Fee
In addition to the above fees the student shall pay
the Vidyapeeth Examination Fee as prescribed by the
Vidyapeeth from time to time. Other conditions and formalities
shall be as per the Rules of the University. (Note:
The Vidyapeeth Examination Fee is non-refundable)

RULES FOR REFUND |
|
| |
Annual Fee: Admission to the course
can be cancelled at the request of the student on submission
of an application, in the prescribed format, and original
receipt. Refund of the annual fee in such case shall
be done as per the following chart:

Important:
If a student, admitted to the programme, desires to
discontinue studies, at any time after 90 calendar days
from the date of counseling and on-the-spot admission,
and/or migrate to another Vidyapeeth/ College during
the programme, he/she shall be required to pay the full
amount of tuition fees and other fees for the remaining
entire duration of the programme (i.e. two years for
MBA) as per the amount of fees fixed while taking admission.
Note: Please note that the application and entrance
test fee is non-refundable

Ragging: |
|
| |
Ragging, in any form, is a punishable offence. If any
incident of raging comes to the notice of the authority,
the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain
and if his/her explanation is not found satisfactory,
the authority would expel him/her from the institution.

|
| |
Disputes: |
|
| |
Difference of opinion and any dispute arising in the
interpretation and implementation of the clauses in
this brochure, if any, shall be referred to the Vice
Chancellor of the Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune and
his decision shall be final and binding on all the concerned.

|
|
| |
Court Jurisdiction: |
|
| |
Any legal dispute arising out of the admission procedure,
of the course and refund of the fees of the Vidyapeeth
shall be under Pimpri Jurisdiction only.
|
|

|
|
| |
Warning: |
|
| |
The candidate seeking admissions of the course of the
Vidyapeeth is warned against possible cheating by unscrupulous
persons, who may promise and assure seats by extracting
large sums of money, from the parents /candidates. The
Vidyapeeth has not appointed any such agent(s). The
Vidyapeeth shall not, in any way, be responsible for
the misdeeds of such person(s).
