Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College was established in 1996. It is approved by Medical Council of India, Government of India & the Government of Maharashtra. The college building is a masterpiece of architecture and has all state of the art facilities. The College has four well-planned lecture halls with a seating capacity of 200 in each. The desks are well spaced out and halls are airy, well lit and with excellent acoustics. Each hall has the latest audio-visual teaching aids.

The management of Dr. D. Y. Patil Pratishthan has allotted 5 acres of land exclusively for use of the Dental college and hospital and has completed the entire construction work admeasuirng 1,50,000 sq.ft. which is required by the college for teaching and training upto the final B.D.S. course as per the norms laid down by the Dental Council of India, New Delhi. Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics qualifies for one of the finest institute awarding B. Tech in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics and M.Tech (integrated) in Biotechnology. This is because of its excellent faculty and supreme infrastructure. Started in the year 2004 its Biotechnology labs are equipped with laboratory facilities in biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, animal tissue culture and plant tissue The Bioinformatics is well equipped with high speed computers, application software and Internet facilities. These give excellent opportunity for creation of young graduates with sound theoretical & practical basis for venturing into 21st century problems.

Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing started in the year 2000, with the sanctioned intake capacity of 50 students. The students taking admission in this college come from all over India.
